Legal review notice
This policy is an operational draft based on the platform's current workflows and the official guidance linked below where applicable. It is not legal advice. My Tax Pros should have qualified counsel confirm the legal entity name, state-specific duties, consumer-rights process, billing language, and liability provisions before treating it as the final legal instrument.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Website & Consumer Terms and Conditions (Terms) form an agreement between you and My Tax Pros Networking (My Tax Pros) when you access the service, create a customer account, or electronically accept the current version. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to create an account or enter a binding transaction. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it. Additional Member Terms apply to approved Professional, Pro, and Office accounts, and separate terms may apply to partners, paid courses, events, or marketplace services.
2. Platform role and no professional relationship
My Tax Pros is a professional network and technology platform. It is not the Internal Revenue Service, a government agency, a law firm, an accounting firm, your tax return preparer, or your financial adviser. Website, Blog, Academy, directory, and resource content is general information and does not create a professional-client, fiduciary, employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship.
A professional profile, approval status, badge, match, ranking, response, referral, or listing does not guarantee credentials, availability, work quality, tax outcomes, refunds, or results. Verify a professional's identity, qualifications, services, fees, security practices, and engagement terms before hiring.
3. Accounts and electronic acceptance
Provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and use only your own account. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by My Tax Pros. Notify support promptly of suspected compromise and do not bypass authentication, approval, membership, or access controls.
A customer who creates an account must review and accept the current Website & Consumer Terms and acknowledge the current Privacy Policy before entering the Consumer Portal. The acceptance record includes the account, both document versions and fingerprints, and the server time. A material update may require a new acceptance.
4. Customer workspace and tax-help requests
The Consumer Portal lets you maintain a basic profile, describe a tax service need, review request status, save professionals, and receive or compare responses. Submit only information necessary for discovery: the general service, general location, service mode, language preference, and a privacy-safe summary.
My Tax Pros may review and route a request to one or more eligible professionals. A match, response, or contact is not an engagement or promise of service. You and the professional independently decide whether to proceed and are responsible for a separate engagement, scope, fees, secure document exchange, advice, preparation, filing, and other professional work.
5. No sensitive taxpayer data on My Tax Pros
Do not upload, paste, transmit, or request Social Security numbers, Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, full dates of birth, tax returns, tax transcripts, W-2s, 1099s, identity documents, banking or payment-card details, source documents, authentication codes, or similar sensitive taxpayer information anywhere on My Tax Pros.
Use a separate, lawfully configured secure system supplied for the professional engagement. If sensitive information is submitted accidentally, stop using the affected workflow and contact tax@mytaxpros.net without repeating or forwarding the information.
6. Acceptable use
Use the service only for lawful personal, professional, or business purposes. You may not impersonate another person; submit false, deceptive, infringing, unlawful, threatening, or malicious content; harass a user; scrape or harvest information; resell leads; send unlawful marketing; probe or compromise security; introduce malware; interfere with the service; evade access controls; or use the service for tax fraud, identity theft, money laundering, or other misconduct.
Do not use directory, request, contact, or profile information for a purpose unrelated to the relevant service request or another purpose authorized by the person. My Tax Pros may remove content or limit activity that violates these Terms or creates legal, privacy, security, or operational risk.
7. Content and communications
You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. You grant My Tax Pros a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, transmit, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, and improve the service and to route an authorized request. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.
You agree to receive account verification, security, request-status, service, billing, and other operational communications. Marketing communications, if offered, will include legally required choices. Do not send confidential taxpayer records by email or through a general contact form.
8. Payments, events, and third-party services
Prices, billing intervals, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and included features are presented for the relevant purchase. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another disclosed provider under its own terms. A marketplace provider, tax professional, event organizer, scheduling service, or other third party may have a separate contract, fee, cancellation policy, privacy notice, and security process.
External links and third-party services are provided for convenience or to support a requested workflow. Review the third party before use. My Tax Pros does not become the tax professional, product seller, event provider, or other independent service provider merely by listing, matching, linking, routing, or facilitating access.
9. My Tax Pros intellectual property
The platform, software, design, My Tax Pros marks, and platform-created text, graphics, courses, templates, and other materials are owned by or licensed to My Tax Pros and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, remove proprietary notices from, or create a competing dataset or service from protected platform content except with written permission or as allowed by law.
10. Suspension and termination
My Tax Pros may investigate activity and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account or feature to enforce these Terms, address nonpayment, protect a person or the service, respond to security or fraud risk, comply with law, or prevent material harm. Immediate action may be taken when reasonably necessary.
You may stop using the service or request account closure. Account closure does not erase payment, legal, security, dispute, or audit records that may lawfully be retained, and provisions that by their nature should survive will continue.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, current, or suitable for every need. My Tax Pros does not guarantee any professional, consumer, partner, match, response, lead, appointment, course, resource, event, transaction, tax position, filing, refund, revenue, or other outcome.
You are responsible for decisions made using the service and for confirming current tax law, deadlines, credentials, professional advice, and third-party terms with appropriate primary sources or qualified professionals. Rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded remain in effect.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Tax Pros and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from the service, a user's conduct, professional services, third-party services, unavailable features, or unauthorized use of an account.
Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not limit liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Changes, governing law, and contact
My Tax Pros may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, product, or operational changes. The effective date and version appear above. A material update may require customer acceptance before protected features continue.
These Terms are governed by Florida law except where federal law or another mandatory law controls. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A waiver must be written and applies only to the specific instance.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to tax@mytaxpros.net. Do not include taxpayer records, identity documents, financial account information, or other sensitive taxpayer data.
